Elk Fest is Jackson Hole tradition that is centered around the Boy Scout Elk Antler Auction that has been going on for over 45 years. The Boy Scouts assist the rangers at the National Elk Refugee in collecting the antlers that the herds of elk shed every winter. They then turn around and auction off the antlers as fundraiser for their troop fees and dues. The Antler Auction will be taking place on Saturday, May 19^th this year. There are tons of other events that go on during Elk Fest on Saturday including booths, kids activities, a free concert, casino games and silent auctions.  On Sunday, May 20^th, Jackson Hole has the High Noon Chili Cook-off featuring tons of local and regional contestants.  Come watch these great chefs compete and grab a spoon to try out some of the amazing chilis.  This annual fun event is great for the whole family and is the perfect way to kick off a weeklong vacation in Jackson Hole.
