Try out a little live theater when you come to Jackson Hole in June. The Riot Act, INC theater company puts on a series of short performances every June. This year’s shorts are taking place from June 6-8th and they will be preforming three short plays, two of which were written by local Jackson Hole playwrights. The three short plays are:
- The Bet by local dramatist Maria Lennon about two married couples that place a bet. Sociable couple Sarah and Andy must spend a weekend alone together while urban couple Helen and Peter must spend the weekend with any modern conveniences. This comedy of errors is set in cabin in the woods and is sure to delight your funny bone.
- Trial of Socrates by local playwright Andrew Breffeilh is a twist on traditional theater turning the show into a focus group.
- Wanda’s Visit by Christopher Durang is about a couple that after ten years of marriage find themselves stuck in their routine and boring life. When Jim’s high school girlfriend Wanda shows up she turns their lives up-side-down. Wanda won’t stop flirting with Jim or talking and loves to tell crazy stories about her life.
